Greenpeace UK has announced its 2030 Race & Ethnicity Representation Goals, aiming to align its workforce diversity with that of London by ensuring 38.3% of its London staff identify as people of colour by 2030. This initiative addresses the current underrepresentation within the organization compared to the capital’s multicultural demographics. Additionally, Greenpeace UK plans to eliminate its existing 5.6% ethnicity pay gap within the same timeframe. Co-executive director Areeba Hamid emphasized that diversity is essential for the charity’s mission effectiveness, stating that understanding the intersection of environmental issues with diverse human societies is crucial for meaningful change.
