US tech giant backs UK diversity scheme despite Trump DEI drama

Despite a trend among some major U.S. companies to reduce their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives due to political and legal pressures, IBM has reinforced its commitment to promoting diversity in the UK’s technology sector. The company has partnered with the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to support the CyberFirst Girls Competition, an initiative aimed at encouraging 12- and 13-year-old girls to pursue careers in cybersecurity.
