Inclusion Forum: Connecting EDI Practitioners Across Global Contexts
Focus Topic: Inclusion in International Schools
Inclusion professionals often work in complex and evolving environments—and they need a space to connect, reflect, and learn from one another. This Inclusion Forum provides a supportive environment for EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) leaders to share best practice, seek advice, and explore challenges unique to their roles.
Each forum begins with a short presentation or topic introduction, followed by interactive discussion and Q&A, offering time for open dialogue, peer support, and collaborative problem-solving.
The focus of this session is inclusion in international schools, exploring the opportunities and challenges of leading EDI work in globally diverse communities.
Training Topics Include:
- Building inclusive practice within global and multicultural communities
- Navigating differing and opposing perspectives on inclusion in international contexts
- Embedding values-driven EDI work in a range of educational and cultural settings
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the forum, participants will:
- Contribute to and benefit from a positive, supportive environment for sharing EDI practice
- Identify emerging concerns and training needs relevant to IELA members and their schools
- Build connections and strengthen professional networks within the inclusion and international education sectors
